Horse Owner Education Series

This private event is for past equine clients of the UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

Please join us at the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital on June 23 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. for the next installment of our Horse Owner Education Series. Dr. Clare Ryan and Dr. Lisa Williamson, who are both board-certified in large animal internal medicine, will be speaking on “Common Contagious Respiratory Diseases: Facts and Vaccines” and “Parasite Management Inside and Out!” Seminole Feed nutritionist Beth Stelzleni will also be on hand to answer any nutrition questions you may have.

The event will take place in the Veterinary Education Center, located next to the Hospital at 2200 College Station Road, Athens, GA 30602.

Meet the newest member of our large animal hospital! Dr. Clare Ryan joined the UGA VTH in May and specializes in equine internal medicine.




Dr. Lisa Williamson, DVM, MS, DACVIM

“Parasite Management Inside and Out!”

Dr. Lisa Williamson is an associate professor of large animal internal medicine at the UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She is part of our Field Services team, which provides on-site, 24/7 emergency services and routine veterinary care for horses, cattle, alpacas, llamas, goats, sheep and other farm animals located in and around the Athens area.
