Veterinary Support to Stability Operations - Assessment and Production Systems Course (ATRRS # 6G-A0312 Winter Iteration)
The purpose of this course is to provide early to mid-career Veterinary Corps Officers the critical skills, competencies and knowledge required to provide Tactical and Operational support through all phases of Stability Operations.
The Assessment and Production System Course is the tactical level course that provides Veterinary Corps Officers an overview of agricultural production and market systems in the developing world; an introduction to humanitarian assistance and international development framework; and skills required for various assessment methodologies relevant to Stability Operations. It is recommended but not required to take this course first in series with the Veterinary Stability Operations: Global Veterinary Medicine Course. This course should be considered a complement to the Veterinary Support to Stability Operations: Global Veterinary Medicine Course and the Foreign Animal Disease Diagnostician Course and mandatory for VCOs deploying in support of Stability Operations.
