The Diagnostic Imaging Service of the UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital provides digital radiography, ultrasonography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear scintigraphy, and fluoroscopy for our veterinary patients. Imaging studies are conducted under the guidance and interpreted by a team of board-certified radiologists, radiology residents, and technicians dedicated to diagnostic imaging.
The Diagnostic Imaging Service works in concert with the Cardiology and Surgery Services to provide diagnostic and minimally-invasive fluoroscopic procedures in the practice of Interventional Radiology. Available procedures include correction of congenital cardiac defects, pacemaker placement, stent placement (vascular, tracheal, and urinary), intrahepatic portosystemic shunt occlusion, and embolization procedures.
These amenities are available to all patients under the care of the UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Appointments can be scheduled with corresponding receiving services.
