The Pharmacy is currently seeking candidates for a few Pharmacy Technician positions that are full-time, benefit eligible. This is specialized and technical work that involves the compounding of a wide variety of products for use in both client and research animals including chemotherapy drugs under the supervision of Pharmacists or Pharmacy Technician Supervisor. The Pharmacy technician utilizes extensive mathematical skills in the compounding and filling of prescriptions for a wide variety of species and medications, ensures proper disposal of expired medications, accurately bills patient/client accounts, and fills the automated controlled medication supply machine.
The minimum requirements for the Pharmacy Tech position is to have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related applied science or have an ASHP accredited Associates Degree in Pharmacy Technology. The work schedule for the position is Monday-Friday, 9a-6p and will need some flexibilty during weekends and holidays to fill additional shifts based on business needs.
