UGA CVM Welcomes Class of 2017 with White Coat Ceremony

The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine welcomed the class of 2017 during its annual White Coat Ceremony held Sunday, Aug. 11. Sponsored by the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association (GVMA), this event officially recognized 102 members of the incoming class by donning them in lab coats to be worn during their veterinary education. $1.95 million awarded to UGA researchers on quest to provide better classroom tools to teach science

Two federal grants totaling $1.95 million will provide jobs and research support for a growing University of Georgia start-up company that aims to change the way science is taught in classrooms by employing modern technologies to engage high school students in their learning experiences.
