September 17: Transcripts must be submitted by this date. Transcripts are to be submitted directly to VMCAS.
Sending transcripts to UGA CVM will void said transcript and the applicant will be responsible for resubmitting to the proper location. Applicants are required to submit official transcripts from every institution of higher education attended by the applicant (including transient courses and joint enrollment courses taken during high school, even if the courses are listed as transfer credits on another transcript).
Failure to submit transcripts from each institution you have attended will result in an incomplete application that cannot be considered for admission.
- Electronic letters of recommendation also must be submitted to VMCAS by this date.
- The required supplemental application is due (be sure to click on the SUBMIT button to send the application); You must submit a non-refundable $75 Supplemental Application fee. Click here to pay your fee online on our secure website via credit card, or mail a check. Checks should be made payable to “The University of Georgia” and mailed to: Admissions Counselor, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia, Athens, GA 30602-7372, USA. Checks must be postmarked no later than September 17 in order for us to accept them.
- Standardized test scores must be received by the College (institution code 5752) by this date. Applicants who have previously applied through VMCAS must have their scores resubmitted to the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). Scores not sent directly to the College of Veterinary Medicine will not be accepted.
Both the old version and the new revised version of the GRE will be accepted, as long as the GRE scores have been taken in the last 5 years.
Students from Delaware and South Carolina must contact the Commission of Higher Education from their states to complete a Residency Verification. We must receive verification by this deadline. The contact information for the respective state offices can be found on our residency verification page.
Official transcripts of grades obtained in the summer and fall term, after the application deadline, must be received by UGA College of Veterinary Medicine by this date. The direct address can be found at the top of this webpage. For more information, please click here to visit the VMCAS website.
