DESCRIPTION:This event is part of the department’s seminar series for graduate students. \nDr. Xiaorong Lin is the Gene E. Michaels Distinguished Professor in Medical Mycology and Graduate Coordinator for the University of Georgia’s Department of Microbiology in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and has a courtesy faculty appointment in the Department of Infectious Diseases also at UGA. She earned her PhD in Fungal Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Georgia in 2003. Dr. Lin’s research focuses on better understanding eukaryotic microbiology through investigating Cryptococcus neoformans and Aspergillus fumigatus.
