DESCRIPTION:This event is part of the department’s seminar series for graduate students. \n“Reprogramming the Pancreatic Tumor Microenvironment to Effectively Treat Cancer Patients: Knowledge gained from a bench-to-bedside-to-bench multidisciplinary Phase II Clinical Trial” \nDr. Yana Zavros is a Professor and GRA Eminent Scholar in the Department of Interdisciplinary Biomedical Sciences at the University of Georgia’s School of Medicine and the Director of School of Medicine Research Center. She earned her PhD from the University of Melbourne in 1998. Her research focuses on gastric and pancreatic cancer. Dr. Zavros was awarded the 2023 Women in Medicine and Science Torchbearer and recently received $14 million in NIH grants.
