DESCRIPTION:As part of our continued effort to promote the application of reproductive technologies\, the University of Georgia Extension and UGA College of Veterinary Medicine are collaborating with E.I. Medical Imaging to provide a training course in bovine ultrasonography. \nCourse Structure\nThis 2-day course is divided into in-class and hands-on portions. The in-class portions will provide attendees with the knowledge required to perform reproductive ultrasound evaluations in cattle. SUMMARY:2025 Practical Avian\, Reptile\, and Small Mammal Endoscopy Course
DESCRIPTION:Elevate your exotic animal practice and zoological skills to the next level with the acclaimed endoscopy training programs from the University of Georgia. These courses have been specifically designed to teach the practical applications of endoscopy and endosurgery in reptiles\, birds\, & exotic mammals.  Whether you are a private practitioner\, zoo or wildlife vet\, intern\, resident\, specialist\, or academician\, this course will train you to perform minimally-invasive endoscopic procedures including internal examination\, biopsy\, and basic endosurgical procedures. \nA 2-day practical\, hands-on practical lab to develop and practice endoscopy skills (prior completion of the 16-hr online course required before lab). This course offers 16 hours of CE credit. Focused on reptiles\, birds & small mammal diagnostic procedures using the 2.7mm telescope system. This is a practical course with very limited classroom time. Species vary and are dependent upon concurrent research projects but usually include pigeons\, rabbits\, and turtles or iguanas. \nThis course is open to anyone that also registers for the on-line course (to be completed before in-person weekend) or who has completed the online course previously. Everyone registered for the in-person weekend course gets access to the online course materials (even if they did it previously). \nThis course is led by Stephen J. Divers – BVetMed\, DZooMed\, DECZM(Herp)\, DECZM(ZHM)\, DACZM\, FRCVS; Board Certified Specialist in Zoological Medicine TM; Professor of Zoological Medicine\, University of Georgia. \nRegistration is limited to 16 registrants. A waitlist will be activated once the course registration has filled to capacity. If a registration is cancelled and space opens\, those on the waitlist will be notified based on the date/time added to the list. Once contacted\, they will have 24 hours to register for the course. DESCRIPTION:**Registration closes February 23 @ 11:59 p.m.**\nThe 2025 Annual Conference has been set up a bit differently than previous years. Since veterinarians in Georgia only need 2 LEAP credits per renewal cycle\, and this is the first year in that two-year renewal calendar\, we are not offering any LEAP course credits this year. LEAP credits will be provided during the 2026 Annual Conference. \nThere are always requests for both large animal and small animal courses. However\, previous attendance for the split tracks has caused us to re-evaluate this offering. This year will offer combined lectures. \nScheduling multiple events within a two-day period does present challenges. DESCRIPTION:Elevate your exotic animal practice and zoological skills to the next level with the acclaimed endoscopy training programs from the University of Georgia. These courses have been specifically designed to teach the practical applications of endoscopy and endosurgery in reptiles\, birds\, & exotic mammals.  Whether you are a private practitioner\, zoo or wildlife vet\, intern\, resident\, specialist\, or academician\, this course will train you to perform minimally-invasive endoscopic procedures including internal examination\, biopsy\, and basic endosurgical procedures. \nA 2-day practical\, hands-on practical lab to develop and practice endoscopy skills (prior completion of the 16-hr online course required before lab). This course offers 16 hours of CE credit. Focused on reptiles\, birds & small mammal diagnostic procedures using the 2.7mm telescope system This is a practical course with very limited classroom time. Her background includes veterinary dental research\, practice management and dental technician in general practice.  She’s currently an adjunct at two veterinary technology programs and the president of Beyond the Crown Veterinary Education; teaching dentistry to veterinary teams\, using practical and easy to master methods. Mary was named the VMX Speaker of the Year in 2024\, NAVTA Veterinary Technician of the Year by NAVTA in 2020\, won the AVDT’s Excellence in Dentistry Education in 2019.  Mary is a textbook author\, speaker\, and wet lab instructor at numerous state and national conferences.\n\n\nVicky Ograin\, MBA\, RVT\, VTS (Nutrition) \n\nVicky received her technician degree from Los Angeles Pierce College. She is credentialed in California and Kansas. She served in private practice for many years in California\, and then 22 years ago began a career with Hill’s Pet Nutrition\, where she is a Scientific Communication Sr. Specialist\, in the US Professional Veterinary Affairs department. She focuses on education for technicians and the health care team as well as strategy for veterinary technicians in tech schools and graduates. In 2007\, she completed a Bachelor of Science and in 2008\, she completed a Masters\, both in Business Administration. Vicky obtained her Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in nutrition in June 2013.
