SUMMARY:2025 Practical Avian\, Reptile\, and Small Mammal Endoscopy Course
DESCRIPTION:Elevate your exotic animal practice and zoological skills to the next level with the acclaimed endoscopy training programs from the University of Georgia. These courses have been specifically designed to teach the practical applications of endoscopy and endosurgery in reptiles\, birds\, & exotic mammals.  Whether you are a private practitioner\, zoo or wildlife vet\, intern\, resident\, specialist\, or academician\, this course will train you to perform minimally-invasive endoscopic procedures including internal examination\, biopsy\, and basic endosurgical procedures. \nA 2-day practical\, hands-on practical lab to develop and practice endoscopy skills (prior completion of the 16-hr online course required before lab). This course offers 16 hours of CE credit. Focused on reptiles\, birds & small mammal diagnostic procedures using the 2.7mm telescope system. This is a practical course with very limited classroom time. Species vary and are dependent upon concurrent research projects but usually include pigeons\, rabbits\, and turtles or iguanas. \nThis course is open to anyone that also registers for the on-line course (to be completed before in-person weekend) or who has completed the online course previously. Everyone registered for the in-person weekend course gets access to the online course materials (even if they did it previously). \nThis course is led by Stephen J. Divers – BVetMed\, DZooMed\, DECZM(Herp)\, DECZM(ZHM)\, DACZM\, FRCVS; Board Certified Specialist in Zoological Medicine TM; Professor of Zoological Medicine\, University of Georgia. \nRegistration is limited to 16 registrants. A waitlist will be activated once the course registration has filled to capacity. If a registration is cancelled and space opens\, those on the waitlist will be notified based on the date/time added to the list. Once contacted\, they will have 24 hours to register for the course. At that point\, the next person on the list will be notified. \nVeterinarian: $1784 \nResident/Intern/Student: $1049 \nVet Tech/Nurse (attend with DVM): $209 (This registration can only be added with a DVM registration) \nCourse Date: December 6-7\, 2025 \nBreakfast and lunch will be provided for attendees for both days of the course. If you would like to request dietary variations from a standard menu\, there are three options offered in the registration: gluten free\, vegan\, vegetarian. Registrants are responsible for providing their own scrubs for the lab portions of the course. It is recommended to have 2 sets of scrubs. \nThere is a hotel block for your convenience.
