Renee Barber, DVM, PhD, DACVIM


Dr. Renee Barber is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine with her DVM. Dr. Barber did her residency and got her PhD from University of Georgia.

Elias Sayour, MD, PhD


Dr. Elias Sayour, M.D., PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery, and Pediatrics and Principal Investigator of the RNA Engineering Laboratory within the Preston A. Wells, Jr. Center for Brain Tumor Therapy and UF Brain Tumor Immunotherapy Program.  He graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Fordham University in 2003, before receiving his medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2007. Dr. Sayour is a board certified physician, and member of the Children’s Oncology Group, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Society of Neuro-Oncology, and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.

M. R. Chambers, M.D., D.V.M.


As a veterinarian and neurosurgeon, Dr. Chambers is the founder of the Alabama Comparative Oncology Network, principal investigator of the Southeastern Comparative Oncology Network, and founding member of the Comparative Brain Tumor Consortium at the Center for Cancer Research, NIH National Cancer Institute - each a collaboration of veterinary and medical scientists and clinicians working together to identify genetic targets for treatment of disease through comparative genomics. Dr. Chambers is also the co-principal investigator of EVOLVE, a national prospective trial evaluating outcomes and quality of life following kyphoplasty surgery for the treatment osteoporotic and neoplastic vertebral fractures in 24 centers around the country with data on over 350 kyphoplasty patients, the largest longitudinal cohort of kyphoplasty patients in the U.S. to date.

  • Non-Lab Conference: Refunds are available for cancellations made by 5 p.m. ET, 10 days prior to the beginning of your event.
  • Wet Lab Conference: Refunds are available for cancellations made by 5 p.m., 45 days prior to the beginning of your event.
  • If a course is cancelled for any reason, the CVM will not be responsible for any charges related to travel.
  • For courtesy and liability reasons, we prohibit children and domestic animals (except working animals, e.g., guide dogs) at our CE conferences.
