Animal Medical Center is a busy privately owned 8 doctor small animal practice in Virginia Beach, VA. As a practice that has been in operation for over 40 years, we pride ourselves on practicing quality medicine to a very loyal clientele with a cohesive and enthusiastic team. Our practice offers in house lab work, dental radiographs, surgical and therapeutic laser, and ultrasound. We are visited weekly by a mobile boarded internist and cardiologist. We are lucky to have multiple emergency clinics and specialists within a 20 minute drive, which we utilize frequently. We pride ourselves on prioritizing work-life balance and take this very seriously. Our full time associates work 32-36 hours a week and are encouraged to enjoy their time off and vacations. When you are scheduled to work until noon on Saturday, 95% of the time you are walking through the parking lot at noon. Our practice is located within 5 minutes of the coast and a few of our doctors live beach or waterfront to enjoy the perks of this area. This is a great spot for outdoor activities including paddle boarding, biking, kayaking, and boating. We tend to retain our veterinarians for the long haul, so these openings are due to expansion and the fact that we would love more coverage for maternity leaves, vacations, etc. This is a great position for a new or recent graduate, because we are a practice that constantly collaborates on cases and works as a team. We have a fun mix of recent graduates and more seasoned veterinarians. We would also be happy to host students for clerkships and have hosted many in the past.
