SIX FIGURE Compensation in a two doctor, small animal and exotics practice with flexibility of scheduling and a practice owner that champions mentoring and work life balance. The practice owner is very active in volunteer work and has worked in Burkina Faso, West Africa, with community development, Britain and California with Foor and Mouth and Newcastle disease outbreaks, with NVRT during national disasters and with the local Hamilton County DART. This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Veterinarian at The Animal Care Center of Ooltewah in beautiful Hamilton County, Tennessee. Compensation includes a salary range of $90K to $105K (DOE), retirement matching, continuing education budget, and many other fringe benefits.

The practice itself has a welcoming, friendly, outgoing atmosphere. It is a growing practice with an office manager, two receptionists, and four pet nurses all with years of experience in many different work situations. There is IDEXX in house lab equipment, digital x-ray, ultrasound, recently added therapeutic laser and equipment for platelet rich plasma treatments. The practice is growing with forward looking management ready to adapt new technologies, techniques and therapies with the focus on what is best for the patients, their owners and the employees. We are closed on holidays and there are three emergency hospitals within easy driving distance. You will have time to enjoy what the surrounding area offers.

The Animal Care Center of Ooltewah is part of the Chattanooga metro area. It is a rapidly growing part of the state with many amenities to take advantage of; mountains, rivers, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, hang gliding that have led to it’s becoming an outdoor destination with visitors from across the world. We have the fastest internet in the world, a vibrant music and arts scene and a beautiful downtown with the Tennessee Aquarium as the centerpiece and lots of outdoor spaces to take advantage of. Ooltewah itself is a lovely location with scenic vistas surrounding it and recent development of excellent restaurants and small businesses. The people are friendly and outgoing. The area at large is a good place for both single people and families at any stage of development with access to excellent schools. Southern Adventist University, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Lee University, and Covenant College are close by with cultural events open to the public.
