Jeffrey graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Animal and Veterinary Sciences and a MBA from Georgia Southern University. He spent 10 years working at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, over their Biocontainment and Safety Division. Jeffrey has been at UGA since 2012. In his capacity of Operations Director, Jeffrey’s primary role is to provide leadership in biocontainment operations management to include oversight in maintenance management, research program support, information technology, and security management along with continued development of policies to support infectious disease research. He oversees the business office and biocontainment performance of the facility; coordinates and oversees training and education program development and delivery; works closely with the Science Director, the Office of Biosafety and research teams in planning research program needs. His expertise includes the design, construction, and operation of biocontainment facilities.
