Biography
Jillian Masters earned her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS, where she completed research on mosquito immunology, Buruli ulcer, and the interactions between insects and Mycobacterium ulcerans. After entering UGA through the ILS program, she joined the labs of Dr. Fred Quinn and Dr. Eric Harvill in the Department of Infectious Diseases housed in the College of Veterinary Medicine. She is currently working on multiple exciting projects, including the innate effects of Pertussis toxin, host-pathogen interactions during and after Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, and animal models of mycobacteria.
