Biography

Marianna obtained a B.S. in Biology, with a minor in German, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016. She then completed her PhD studies at Rockefeller University in the lab of Michel Nussenzweig, describing the antibody response to tick-borne flaviviruses. Following her interest in the immunology of infectious diseases, she joined the Joyner lab at the CVI as a postdoctoral fellow to work on the biology of antibody-secreting cells in the context of malaria.
