Educational Background

​Dr. Steve Budsberg received his DVM from Washington State University in 1983. He completed an internship at Angell Memorial in Boston and then did his residency in Small Animal Surgery at Michigan State University in 1987. He is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgery.  Dr. Budsberg spent time at Louisiana State University before joining the faculty at the University of Georgia.

Currently, Dr. Budsberg is a Professor in the Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. He is also jointly appointed to the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology.
