The biobank is a centralized, collaborative repository of high-quality biological specimens and associated epidemiological and clinical data. Through combined veterinary and human translational research into bladder cancer, it aims to improve the lives of both animals and people.
The biobank focuses mainly on:
- Streamline the recruitment of cases for ongoing trials
- Establish standardized protocols for sample collection, processing, storage, and shipping
- Optimize the efficient use of samples in diverse bladder cancer research projects
- Promote the execution and completion of studies with high reproducibility and accurate results
The biobank will be responsible for the safekeeping of the collection, including maintenance, security, integrity of the specimens and associated data. Use of samples adheres to the Nagoya Protocol Guidelines.
