About the Club

The Canine Club at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine strives to educate and involve individuals with man's best friend.

The Club is dedicated to helping with the overwhelming population of unwanted and/or mistreated dogs.

Several annual fundraisers, such as The Doggie Dash, allow the Club to donate to The Nikki Fund for Canine Cancer Research at the College, as well as put on a Spay Day for those dogs who would otherwise remain unadoptable.

We're in the news! Spay Day 2008 was featured in the Athens Banner-Herald. Check out the story here.

The Club is run and supported by the students within the college. Motivational speakers are employed throughout the year to give the Club new ideas and ways to continue its support of the canine population.

Meetings are held approximately twice a semester. Dates will be posted as meetings are announced.
