UGA Student Chapter of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association

The Integrative Veterinary Medicine Club is a student run organization under the SCAVMA umbrella and sponsored by the American Holistic Veterinary Medicine Association.  Our club’s charge is to integrate aspects of veterinary medicine not learned in the classroom with our school’s current curriculum.  An integrative approach provides the opportunity to not only treat the symptoms, but over time fix some conditions while implementing Western medicine and holistic modalities. Topics such as shock wave therapy, acupuncture, herbal medicine, physical therapy and rehab are just a few of the many different aspects of veterinary medicine covered through this club.
