Management of Common Surgical Emergencies in Small Animal Practice

The program will focus on canine surgical emergencies commonly seen in small animal practice. Morning lectures will focus on pathophysiology, stabilization and perioperative management, anesthetic considerations, surgical technique, and post operative care. Afternoon cadaver wet labs will give participants a chance to practice procedures discussed that morning.
The course will be hosted at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Classic Campus, 501 D.W. Brooks Drive.
Registration is limited to 50 participants.
Course fee: $800 (includes a very light breakfast of pastries and coffee, lunch both days, and all lab materials)
- Registrants will receive 16 CE hours for this course.
- Attendees should bring appropriate attire for cadaver wet lab participation
