- Ashley Hollingsworth – BS, CVT, LVT, Auburn University – Gulf Shores
- Ashley holds the dual roles of a licensed veterinary technician and hospital manager at Auburn University Veterinary Specialists, boasting a comprehensive background with a bachelor’s degree in animal health technology. With an impressive 20-year journey, Ashley’s expertise spans across various specialized areas, including Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, ER, and Dermatology. Her dedication to excellence shines through her commitment to continuous professional development and unwavering focus on continuing education. Ashley takes pride in advocating for, and developing her team members, ensuring a dynamic and knowledgeable staff that upholds the highest standards of veterinary care.
- Sophie Van Etten – LVT, Georgia Aquarium
- Sophie graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. In 2019 she graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology. During her time in the Veterinary Technology program, she was a volunteer Scuba Diver at the National Aquarium and interned in the Animal Health department of the Maryland Zoo. By 2020 Sophie had moved to Texas to pursue her career goals, accepting a job as an LVT at the Fort Worth Zoo. In 2022 Sophie moved to GA and currently works as the Senior Veterinary Technician for the Georgia Aquarium. She is currently the Webmaster & Social Media Manager for GVTA.
- Alison Williams – LVT, Auburn University
- Alison Williams and her family moved to Alabama in late 2020 from metro Atlanta. She has been a credentialed veterinary technician since 2003 working in various aspects of the profession including general practice, emergency, and specialty practice. Currently, she is the Ophthalmology technician at Auburn University’s Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital and pursuing her VTS in Ophthalmology. As well as continuously striving to reach her full potential in the veterinary profession, she enjoys encouraging and showing others how to do the same. She is part of North American Veterinary Association (NAVTA), RECOVER program, Academy of Veterinary Educators, Association of Veterinary Technician Educators, and a FearFree Certified Professional. She and her husband currently have a 20-acre farm with 2 kids, 2 dogs, cows, chickens, ducks, pigs, and honeybees. While not on the farm, they are avid outdoorsman and are out in the woods or water every chance they get.
