Come and have the summer of your life in the mountains of New York and only 2 hours from New York City! Camp Lokanda is currently looking for a Supervisor for our Nature Center at our sleep away camp.
Our brand-new Nature & Science Center (built this winter) is truly a one-of-a-kind facility in camping with over 50 animals! Plus, so much more! We are looking for someone who loves to work with all types of animals and has team management experience.
This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will:
Manage 1-2 college aged Nature Counselors.
Teach campers the proper way to handle a variety of animals
Create hands on projects and activities based on science and nature concepts
Develop science experiments for various age groups
Clean and maintain the living environments for our animals in our indoor and outdoor petting area
Dates: June 17, 2023 – August 12, 2023
Salary: Pay is based on experience and qualifications. Housing, meals and laundry service provided.

Requirements:
Previous experience with animal care.

Camp Lokanda is one of the premier camps on the eastern coast of the United States. We are located 2 hours from New York City, set in the amazing Catskill Mountains, on Lake Loch Ada, from which we named our camp. We have been around for over 80 years.
