Well established Southwest Ohio veterinary hospital is actively seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, personable veterinarian to join our family-owned practice located in historic Batavia, Ohio (Clermont County). As a companion animal practice, (with some pocket pet work), our practice opened in 2004.

We welcome all candidates, including new graduates and experienced veterinarians. We are committed to mentorship, knowledge-sharing and learning. Our veterinarians are open to developing new areas of care to support interests currently not being served, such as alternative medicine. While working with our seasoned practice owners who share 48 years of combined experience, (both OSU Veterinary College 2000 graduates), as well as opportunities to work with two regular relief veterinarians who share 35 years combined experience, you will acquire knowledge beyond the textbook with a focused mentorship supporting skill development with hands on training. We believe a diverse and inclusive workforce is an advantage, and as such, Family Animal Hospital embraces creativity and values varying perspectives in problem-solving. We recognize differences in cognitive processing and believe neurodiversity in veterinary medicine is essential to positive outcomes in providing continuous quality of care.

Family Animal Hospital has earned a reputation of excellence in veterinary medical and surgical care. We have up to date medical and surgical equipment such as digital radiography, dental unit with high and low speed hand pieces, portable ultrasound, therapy laser, in house laboratory/chemistry analyzer, and more. Our fully staffed collaborative team provides high-quality veterinary medicine with an emphasis on client education and disease prevention. Our expertise includes orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, general medicine, dental care and dental surgery, (including ortho for jaw disease), wellness and preventative care, plus solid practice management/business experience.

Location:
Family Animal Hospital is located approximately 20 miles from downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Batavia is on Ohio State Route 32, also known as the Appalachian Highway, a major east–west highway that connects Interstate 275 and the Cincinnati area to the rural counties of Southern Ohio. There is no shortage of things to do in Cincinnati. Families enjoy the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens, the Cincinnati Museum Center and the Newport Aquarium, which is just over the Ohio River in Kentucky. The metro area’s northern suburbs boast attractions like Kings Island and Great Wolf Lodge. Meanwhile, the area’s breweries are a nod to Cincinnati’s German heritage. MadTree Brewing, Fifty West Brewing Company and Moerlein Lager House are just a few places to enjoy local beer. Arts and entertainment venues include parks with free concerts, shows at historic Music Hall and live performances at Riverbend Music Center. Cincinnatians are loyal to their sports teams, FC Cincinnati, Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds. There is a friendly rivalry between teams at Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati. Something for everyone!
