Planned Pethood of Georgia is looking for full time veterinarians to join our highly qualified veterinary staff. We perform high volume spay/neuter surgeries for the public, and spay/neuter as well as additional procedures (amputations, enucleations) for some rescue groups, local shelters, and animals in our foster program.  In addition to our Duluth spay/neuter clinic, we have recently opened a wellness clinic in Duluth.  We also provide veterinary services on-site six days a week at Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and spay/neuter services one day a week at both Barrow and Newton County Animal Controls. As we continue to grow, we will have multiple opportunities for veterinarians in spay/neuter, shelter medicine, our rescue medical department and in wellness/public outreach. We need committed individuals to help animals in need as well as the people who care for them. AS A NON-PROFIT WE ARE ELIGIBLE FOR PSLF!

We know that your real passion for pet well-being is why you chose this profession. At Planned Pethood we support the well-being of our staff and all of those that are devoted to this cause. Planned Pethood of Georgia offers a competitive employment package and starting salary in accordance with your experience in this specified area. Our package includes paid time off, medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who share our missions and goals for companion animals in our state.  Our current most urgent positions that we need to fill are:

Shelter veterinarians: We have both part-time and full-time openings.  Our shelter veterinarians need to be both surgically and medically proficient as they are usually the only veterinarian on site. The schedule for the full-time position is Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week. Part-time positions can be tailored to your needs and be either one or several days a week. There is no on-call requirement and no contact with the public.

HQHVSN veterinarian: We have both part-time and full-time openings. This position works out of our Duluth location Monday through Thursdays, with one Saturday a month at either a shelter or a vaccine clinic (for a full-time/salaried employee).  There is no on-call requirement and no client contact. Additional workdays may be available (but are not required) as bonus pay. While previous high volume/shelter experience would be ideal, any interested candidates with a good attitude and willingness to learn high volume techniques will be given consideration.

Mentorship from an experienced shelter/high volume surgery veterinarian is available at all our locations.  WE WELCOME NEW GRADUATES!!  We are flexible with our job openings – meaning that we can typically tailor a schedule that works for certain individuals, whether it be full-time or part-time, or a hybrid of both shelter medicine and high-volume surgery. Interested individuals who would like to learn more about our job openings can contact our medical director at the following e-mail: [email protected]. Resumes of interested applicants can also be sent to this same e-mail.  Let us know how to make one of these positions work for you!!

Planned Pethood is rapidly growing and in need of individuals who can help continue the growth of our organization. We hope you consider joining our team.
