Dr. Anil Regmi, a native of Nepal has been practicing in Des Moines, Iowa for the past 30 years. Owner and mentor, Dr. Regmi is renowned in the central Iowa community for his expertise in the field of veterinary medicine and his compassion and love for animals. Dr. Regmi and the entire team at Urban Pet Hospital and Resort are composed of professionals who dedicate and donate their time and materials to help pets. The team includes an office manager, veterinary nurses, groomers, and staff that maintain the doggy daycare and boarding components of the clinic. Together, our goal is to provide the best quality care to our clients, provide career and professional growth, and keep personal time a premium with an average of 30 hours per week.

Our animal clinic provides full surgical options from routine surgeries, soft tissue surgery, oral and orthopedic surgeries. We are equipped with multiple exam rooms, treatment/recovery room, surgery, boarding, and daycare suites, dental table and room, digital x-rays, ultrasound, underwater therapy with treadmill and a complete pharmacy. Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive care, including preventative medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and dentistry.
• Utilize our in-house laboratory and digital radiology to enhance diagnostics and patient care.
• Perform a variety of surgical procedures with precision and care.
• Foster relationships with pet owners, educating them about their pets’ health, general wellness, and disease prevention.
• Collaborate effectively with the veterinary team to ensure a high standard of care.
Qualifications:
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
• Eligible to practice in the United States of America. Willing to sponsor if needed.
• Proven experience in performing a variety of surgical procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong decision-making skills and ethical judgment.
• Candidate must have graduated from a veterinary college accredited by the American Veterinary medical association.
• Candidate has passed NAVLE or eligible to take NAVLE. Our clinic will help in the licensing process for the candidate.
