Bacteriology

Method

Samples are enriched in specialty media, plated to specialty agar and incubated appropriately to encourage growth. Isolates are identified using bench tests and serogrouped with Salmonella group specific antisera.

Test Days and Turnaround

Monday - Friday; 4-10 business days

Shipping Requirements

Ship samples with ample ice packs in insulated container. DO NOT FREEZE.
