Preferred Specimen

Whole legs (tenosynovitis or viral arthritis) or intestines (malabsorption syndrome, poor uniformity, enteritis),

Acceptable Specimen

Tenosynovitis - collect whole leg from clinically affected birds but avoid legs with obvious tendon rupture, Enteric, RSS or flock uniformity issues - collect duodenal loop, jejunum/ileum

Collection Protocol

Collect appropriate tissues and place in whirl pak or ziplock bag, transport on ice and freeze at -80 as soon as possible.
