Biography

Dr. Alejandro Ojeda-Rojas is an Assistant Professor and Beef Cattle Veterinarian with expertise in food animal reproduction, herd health, and production management. His work integrates clinical service, research, and teaching to improve reproductive efficiency, animal welfare, and sustainability of cow–calf operations. Across his career in Latin America and the United States, Dr. Ojeda-Rojas has built a diverse background in applied reproductive biotechnologies, herd health management, and practical, data-informed decision-making at the farm level. He has authored several economic analyses relevant to both beef and dairy industries, including studies evaluating the profitability of timed artificial insemination and the economic impact of purulent vaginal discharge in dairy herds.
