The zoological endoscopy and endosurgery lab is dedicated to minimally-invasive procedures in non-domesticated species for research, teaching and clinical medicine. In addition to research we also offer the only 3-day endoscopy and endosurgery course for reptiles, birds and small mammals.

Research

In addition to assisting various researchers on campus, we have also partnered with with various institutions including the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Department of Interior, US Army Corps of Engineers, Galapagos Conservancy on wide-ranging projects from iendosurgical sterilization of sentinel Galapagos tortoises and sturgeon to population control of feral pigeons by endoscopic vasectomy. Clinical research has led to the development of numerous diagnostic and endosurgical procedures that are employed in veterinary practice.
