Dr. Yung-Yi Mosley is a board-certified Veterinary Microbiologist serving as the Faculty Section Head of Serology/Virology and Molecular Diagnostics at Tifton Veterinary Diagnostic & Investigational Laboratory (TVDIL). She also served as co-interim director of TVDIL from February 2024 to January 2025.  

Prior to joining UGA, she completed her postdoctoral and PhD training at Purdue University and earned her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Master of Science degrees from National Chung Hsing University (Taiwan). 

Dr. Mosley is passionate about the diagnosis and prevention of animal infectious diseases. Her recent research explores the feasibility of Nanopore adaptive sampling in clinical samples, with a long-term goal of developing a metagenomics pipeline. Her recent publications focus on Leptospirosis serology analysis, bovine viral diarrhea surveillance in dairy herds and the detection of feline ocular and respiratory pathogens in Georgia. In her spare time, Yung-Yi enjoys playing on a pickleball court.
