BIPH Graduation Celebration Spring 2024

BIPH Graduation Celebration will take place Friday, May 10th at 10:00 a.m. in Room 2501 located in the College of Veterinary Medicine at 501 D.W. Brooks Drive Athens, GA 30602

Registration

Registration link will be emailed to qualifying students.

**The event is free, but students must have submitted an RSVP in early April to participate in the event as a graduating student.

Please note: Undergraduate students finishing their degrees in Summer 2024 may participate in the celebration.


Attire

Appropriate academic regalia must be worn to participate in the UGA Commencement or BIPH graduation celebration.  Caps, gowns and hoods may be purchased at the UGA Bookstore and other off-campus bookstores.  Contact the University of Georgia Bookstore at 706-542-3171 or via email for purchasing information.

Candidates should wear their tassels over the right eye until the degree is awarded and over the left eye afterwards.

Undergraduate tassel: BS Biomedical Physiology tassels are science gold.


Arrival Instructions

Please arrive at the College of Veterinary Medicine reading room (room #  H-213, Reading & Vet Lab) at 8:45 a.m. to check in.  At this time, you will obtain an introduction card and line-up with the other graduation candidates behind the easel for your department.  Group photos will follow promptly at 9:00 a.m.

***Doors will open to room # 2501 as well as the overflow room #2515 for guests around 9:00 a.m.  Staff will be available to direct everyone to correct places from there.  A livestream will be available in the overflow room.  Each student will receive two tickets for guests to enter into room 2501.  Tickets must be presented to enter.

The BIPH Graduation Celebration is expected to last approximately one-and-a-half hours.


Parking

Parking for the BIPH Graduation Celebration is available at the Carlton Street Deck.  Parking on the UGA Campus will also be free to students and visitors attending UGA’s graduate or undergraduate ceremonies.  (More information can be found at https://commencement.uga.edu/).


Diplomas

Diplomas will be mailed from the UGA Registrar’s Office approximately 6 weeks after commencement.
