Seminar: Julian Hillyer

“Physiological age versus chronological age: defining how temperature impacts the aging of the mosquito immune system”

Dr. Julian Hillyer is the Director of the Program in Career Development, Professor of Biological Sciences, and a Chancellor Faculty Fellow at Vanderbilt University, Medical Center, Department of Biological Sciences. Dr. Hillyer earned his MS and PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed his post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He teaches several undergraduate and graduate level courses in biology. His research work focuses on understanding the biology of pathogens in a variety of mosquito cells in the hopes of developing novel pest and disease control strategies.
