Dr. Susan Birke is an Associate Professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine  at the University of Alabama Birmingham’s Heersink School of Medicine. She earned her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics at the University of Kentucky in 2012 and earned her Pharm. D. at the University of Kansas in 2007. Dr. Birke’s research areas of interest include CFTR dysfunction, the airway epithelium, and properties of airway mucus in cystic fibrosis. Read more about Dr. Birke’s experience on UAB’s website.
