Undergraduate Student Researcher
Biography

I’m currently an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in biomedical physiology with a minor in biology. I hope to apply to medical school this upcoming cycle. After medical school, I want to pursue a career as a pediatric neurosurgeon with a focus in neuro-oncology. During my time at the University of Georgia, I’ve been involved in various organizations that provide tutoring for children in the Athens community, along with tutoring organic chemistry students at UGA. It’s a passion of mine as an aspiring physician to make a tangible difference in the lives of patients. My interest in oncology prompted me to join the SMART lab. I was also interested in being part of translational research that could benefit both animals and humans. As an undergraduate researcher in the lab, I help with growing and maintaining the organoids and provide help with any projects that are currently being conducted. In particular, I’m very interested in our current research being conducted on Cushing’s disease.
