Precision One Health
Veterinary Student Researcher
Biography

I am a 2nd year veterinary student at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and aspire to become a clinician-scientist as a veterinary medical oncologist in the academic setting. For my undergraduate studies, I attended Anderson University in Anderson, SC where I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and completed a minor in Biomedical Sciences. While at Anderson I served as the president of the Anderson University Science Association, completed undergraduate research projects investigating land use in watersheds and its effect on water quality, therapeutic assays of natural compounds against established human triple-negative breast cancer cell lines, as well as competed on the varsity baseball team as a relief pitcher.

I chose the UGA SMART Pharmacology lab to further my experience with the organoid platform in a more comparative, to teach myself the skills and thought process to ask and answer the questions that will one day help to provide a better quality of life to my patients and their owners while also contributing to advances in human oncology care by utilizing the One Health perspective.

We’re UGA Vet Med, and our
