Medical Illustrator
Biography
Grace is a medical illustrator for the Educational Resources Center. She learned about medical illustration from her high school biology teacher after watching a documentary about creating illustrations of what Australopithecus afarensis (“Lucy”) would have looked like in class. This sparked a longtime admiration for communicating science through art. Grace earned her BA in Biological/Pre-Medical Illustration with minors in French and Emerging Global Diseases at Iowa State University, then completed an MA in Medical and Biological Illustration at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is pursuing her passion about learning through interactive media as she creates educational materials with the ERC, aiming to make classrooms a welcoming and accessible space.
