Biography

Dr. Grimes is an Associate Professor of Small Animal Surgery at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine and completed a rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She then completed a residency in Small Animal Surgery and master’s degree in biomedical sciences at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Grimes’ research interests include surgical oncology, specifically canine hemangiosarcoma and the role of miRNA as drivers of disease.
