Biography
Jeff serves as the Project Manager for the Electronic Medical Record System (EMRS) and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) at the University of Georgia, where he leads the VetView Development team. Under his guidance, the college has successfully implemented new system modules, integrated external application interfaces, and aligned multiple business units within the EMRS/LIMS framework. His leadership has also driven the adoption of new processes across both the Diagnostic Laboratory and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
With a unique combination of technical expertise and functional insight, Jeff excels at bridging the gap between end-user needs and IT implementation. His deep understanding of veterinary and laboratory management operations allows him to translate complex requirements into practical, effective solutions. Beyond UGA, he has successfully launched VetView at veterinary teaching hospitals and diagnostic laboratories around the world, helping institutions streamline operations and elevate patient care through advanced informatics solutions. Jeff is a valued contributor to national veterinary informatics initiatives. He actively participates in working groups and collaborative efforts with the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD), the National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) IT groups. His involvement in these organizations ensures that UGA and its partners remain aligned with national standards and best practices in veterinary diagnostics and health information systems.
