Bulldog Veterinary Medicine Professor, Professor
Dr. Joe Bartges is a native of West Virginia and serves as the Bulldog Veterinary Medicine Professor of Internal Medicine, Interventional Radiology, and Nutrition in the University of Georgia’s Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery.
A board-certified specialist in small animal internal medicine and nutrition and a founding member of the American College of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology, Bartges returned to the UGA faculty in 2016 after holding faculty and leadership positions at the University of Tennessee, and Cornell University.
He has authored more than 450 peer-reviewed publications, research abstracts, review articles and textbook chapters and has contributed to 127 grants totaling more than $10.2 million.
