Biography
Joseph Malaer, PhD is an educator and biomedical scientist with a background in cancer immunology and a strong commitment to improving science and health professions education. His teaching spans physiology, molecular biology, pathophysiology, microbiology, and other biomedical sciences at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Malaer’s current scholarly interests focus on evidence-based teaching practices in physiology, with particular attention to course design, student engagement, and effective online education. He is passionate about making complex biomedical concepts accessible while helping students develop the critical-thinking and scientific reasoning skills needed for success in healthcare and biomedical careers.
