Biography

I was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico Cayey Campus in 2014 with a degree in biology. After graduation, I moved to Athens and worked as a lab technician in Dr. Balazs Rada’s lab in the Infectious Diseases department. I was accepted into the ILS program at UGA in 2015 and joined Dr. Biao He’s lab in January of 2016.

Research Interests

I am interested in the fields of virology and vaccine development. My work focuses on the development of vaccines for multiple pathogens using PIV5 and PIV5-based amplifying virus-like particles as vaccine platforms.
