Biography
Md-Tariqul Islam holds a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from North Dakota State University, where his research focused on viral immunology, antibody-mediated immune responses, and vaccine mediated immunity for swine viruses. He also holds a master’s degree in Infectious disease and One health/Microbiology and a bachelor in Doctor of Veterinary medicine (DVM) degree.
Dr. Islam is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Georgia. His work focuses on developing and evaluating HPAI viral vaccine platforms, including cloning and characterization of viral constructs, conducting vaccine studies in animal models, and performing immunological and virological analyses. His responsibilities here include virus isolation, titration and neutralization assays, development of AAV-based antibody expression systems.
