Biography

Dr. Osborn is a broadly and classically trained comparative morphologist with teaching and research expertise in gross anatomy, micro-dissection, histology, embryology, biomechanical analysis, and 3D/4D visualization. She has been teaching in the morphological sciences for 20 years and has coordinated professional and graduate, small, large, and lab animal anatomy courses, as well as integrative courses.

Her main research investigates the relationship between posture and movement and degenerative tissue changes across the species. Due to her expertise in functional anatomy and advanced imaging, she has worked on numerous collaborative projects with clinicians and researchers on topics ranging from pathomechanics in equine lameness and human posture to modeling forensic cases and designing prostheses. Dr. Osborn’s research has been featured in “The Horse” magazine and as a series of webinars for Onlinepethealth.com.
