Senior Director of Finance and Administration
Biography
Rob serves as the Senior Director for Finance and Administration at the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). Reporting directly to the Dean of CVM, Rob leads five departments including the Business Office, Human Resources, Facilities Management, Safety, and Information Technology. He works closely with the CVM Associate Deans of Research and Academic Affairs, the Director of the Vet Teaching Hospital, and has well established relationships with executive leadership across campus.
Clark previously served as a Director for UGA’s Facilities Management Division, leading the construction project management department and operations & maintenance department. Previous to his roles in higher education, Rob served as a U.S. Navy officer who spent a combined total of 20 years as a submarine officer and civil engineer corps officer, among other duties including overseas assignments and deployments. He earned both a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of South Carolina. His interdisciplinary engineering background also includes nuclear and electrical engineering roles. He completed his PhD work and research at UGA, where he concentrates on the impact of the campus built environment on students. In addition, he is a registered professional engineer (P.E.) licensed by the state of Georgia and a certified educational facilities professional.
