Shauna joined the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014, bringing extensive experience in both veterinary medicine and business management. Clinically trained and highly knowledgeable in hospital operations and workflows, she is deeply committed to organizational development and effective leadership.

Before joining UGA, Shauna served as Regional Director for a national veterinary corporation and held key leadership roles as Human Resources Manager and interim Director at a large specialty and critical care hospital in Atlanta.  She is known for her expertise in developing and executing standard operating procedures and comprehensive training programs. Her leadership has guided multiple successful merger and acquisition initiatives, including positive culture initiatives and managing the complex system conversions that followed. She initially came to the College as Business Manager for the Athens Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, where she played a critical role in streamlining operations, supporting diagnostic services, and the development of a veterinary outreach program. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Shauna’s role expanded to include the creation and operational support of UGA’s COVID testing site.

Now leading the VetView Development team, Shauna focuses on business development, client relations, implementation strategy, and long-term planning. In addition to operational support for the leadership teams for the partner institutions utilizing the VetView software product.
