What are the requirements of being a PPLA?

• Registration in or prior completion of VPHY 4050
• Completion of the course you will be a PPLA in with a B+ or better (however, students that earned a B in the course will be considered at the recommendation of their instructor).
• Availability to attend all class sessions and weekly instructor-partner meetings.
• Completion of the PPLA application (below).
• A recommendation from an instructor, employer, or other person that can speak to your abilities and attributes.
• An interview may be required depending on the number of applicants.

PPLA Application

PPLA applications for fall semesters typically open in early March and applications for spring semester typically open in early October.

Applications to be a PPLA in Fall 2026 are open and close March 17th at 11:59pm.
