What are the requirements of being a PPLA?

  • Registration in or prior completion of VPHY 4050
  • Completion of the course you will be a PPLA in with a B+ or better (however, students that earned a B in the course will be considered at the recommendation of their instructor).
  • Availability to attend all class sessions and weekly instructor-partner meetings.
  • Completion of the PPLA application (below).
  • A recommendation from an instructor, employer, or other person that can speak to your abilities and attributes.
  • An interview may be required depending on the number of applicants.

PPLA Application

The application to be a PPLA Spring 2026, opens on October 3rd and closes on October 20th at 11:59 pm.

Applications to be a PPLA in Fall 2026 will open in early March 2026.
