Endocrinology services in Tifton

Our endocrinology service provides several tests. Some of our most common tests are listed below, for a complete list of tests, please visit our catalog.

  • Thyroid hormones in small animals (T4, free T4, T3, free T3, and TSH). We offer multiple combined panels that can be used for the diagnosis of hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
  • ACTH stimulation test: this test can be used in aiding in the diagnosis of Addison’s disease, Cushing’s disease, and monitoring the treatment for Cushing’s disease.
  • Low dexamethasone suppression test: this test can be used in aiding in the diagnosis of Cushing’s disease in dogs, with potential for early differentiation between pituitary versus adrenal gland origin.
  • High dexamethasone suppression test: this test can be used for differentiation between pituitary versus adrenal origin when a diagnosis of Cushing’s disease has been already made.
  • Progesterone in dogs and horses.
