Uniquely Accessible. Highly Connective.

The CVM houses experts in a variety of fields. While that expertise is important for your education, so is your connection to the school. At UGA, that all begins with the Office of Academic Affairs.

The Office of Academic Affairs handles all admissions for prospective students and academic needs for our current DVM students, including:

  • class schedules
  • academic advisement
  • academic records
  • scholarship applications
  • externships
  • study abroad and exchange programs

The office is divided into two sub-offices – pre-clinical and clinical. The pre-clinical office handles the academic needs of our first- and second-year students and is located in the main campus CVM building. The clinical office handles our third- and fourth-year students and is located in the Veterinary Education Center at our teaching hospital.

In accordance with regulations set forth by the Higher Education Act of 1965, we are required to provide students with access to specific types of consumer information, including important information about the institution, financial assistance, graduation rates, athletic participation, campus security, student rights and responsibilities, study abroad, voter registration, and the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
